The importance of sustainability
97% of people are prepared to take action and live a more sustainable lifestyle (Kantar, 2022). nGeneration are proactive in our approach to reducing our carbon footprint and becoming increasingly sustainable, working with our customers and suppliers to deliver sustainability to end users.
Climate change evidence continually strengthens; climate change events are increasingly impacting nature and people’s lives everywhere (IPCC, 2022). With IT wastage now the fastest-growing source of waste, our efforts to minimise our impact to the environment are increasingly crucial.
We are continually seeking ways to reduce our carbon footprint and improve our environmental credentials. We’re proud of the small steps nGeneration has taken so far in our goal to become more sustainable.
How we're doing our part for the planet
We are taking delivery of a new hybrid implementation vehicle fleet to reduce our field-based staff emissions and investing in additional electric vehicle charging infrastructure at the nGeneration head office.
We’re utilising renewable energy, 40% of our head office power now comes from our solar panels, and we’re currently planning to increase this.
We’re investing heavily in our repair capability, through both our new, fully equipped repair and refurbishment facilities and through additional staffing. Repairing and reutilising items both improves our customers’ cost efficiency and reduces electronic waste in landfill.
We’re working with our manufacturing partners to increase our use of recycled and renewable materials where possible.
